Carol and Paul Conser, along with their children's families, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary this past week on a cruise given to them by their children.
Although the Consers grew up in Miami, Fla., and attended the same junior high, they didn't meet until they went to the University of Florida. They were married on Dec. 28, 1962, in Jacksonville, Fla.
They have three children, Jennifer and husband Jason Grigsby, Sherry and Craig Conser of Tyler, Renea and Jonathan Conser of Dallas. Their seven grandchildren, who also celebrated with them, are Peyton, Karsen, Jackson, Brister, and Caroline Conser and Cam and Hayden Grigsby.
For the past 15 years they have lived in Tyler and are active members of Green Acres Baptist Church. A favorite scripture and one they have tried to follow is Joshua 24:15 '... as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
