Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie McDaniel will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary on Dec. 21, 2012.
Jimmie married the former Jane Carroll on Dec. 21, 1962, at First Methodist Church in Waxahachie. Jane is from Denison and a graduate of Texas Wesleyan University and The University of Texas at Tyler. Jimmie is from Naples and a graduate of Texas A&M University and East Texas State University.
Jimmie worked for the Texas Agricultural Extension Service for 32 years in Ellis, Tarrant, Parker, Hunt counties and for Smith County until retirement in 1991. Jane is a retired TISD teacher, having spent the last 15 years of teaching at Robert E. Lee. They moved to Tyler in 1973. They are members of Marvin United Methodist Church.
Celebrating this occasion with them are their sons, Jeff and Lisa McDaniel and Jamie and Shannon McDaniel. They also have four grandchildren, Braden, Brennan, Ashlyn and Austin.
