Anniversary Announcement

Liz and Herd Snider are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 23, 2012, at their home in Tyler.
Hosts for the celebration are their children.
Dr. Snider married the former Elizabeth Freeman on Dec. 27, 1962, in Fort Worth.
Herd Snider, a retired anesthesiologist, who practiced in Tyler for 36 years met Elizabeth Freeman during his residency at Parkland Hospital where she was a nurse. After graduating from medical school, Herd joined the Navy. The couple moved to Oakland, Calif., and lived in Yokosuka, Japan, for three years. They heard about Tyler from a great friend, Don Smith, and decided to make Tyler their home. They are members of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
They have one son, Trey Snider and daughter-in-law Lynette of Houston. They have five daughters, Cami Snider Hawkins and son-in-law John Hawkins of Austin, Stacy Snider Martin and son-in-law Reid Martin of Tyler, Katherine Snider Reid and son-in-law Tony Reid of Denton, Becky Snider Tillson of Tyler and Jenny Snider Holland and son-in-law Chris Holland of Austin.
The couple also has 15 grandchildren, Walt and Lindsey Snider, Jack and Madi Hawkins, Courtney, Elise, Kaitlyn and Olivia Martin, MaryLe and Will Reid, Taylor and Abby Tillson, Corley, Herd and Brown Holland.
